Sweet Rotis

Sweet roti is a unique roti recipe prepared by adding Aloo halwa mix to the wheat flour while kneading, and can be a great breakfast for your family.

How to cook ?


  • For the Dough
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • Tiny pinch of salt
  • For the filling
  • 1 cup aloo halwa
  • Whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta) for rolling
  • 1 1/2 tsp ghee for cooking

Method of Preparation

  • For the Dough
  • Make soft dough using the flour, milk, salt and a little water (if required). Knead it well.
  • Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and set aside.
  • How to proceed
  • Roll out one portion of the dough into a circle of 75 mm (3") diameter using a little flour.
  • Place a 2 heaped tbsps of the aloo halwa in the centre of the circle.
  • Bring together all the sides in the centre and seal tightly.
  • Roll out again into a circle of 75 mm (3") diameter using a little flour.
  • Cook on a non-stick pan until both sides are brown.
  • Repeat with the remaining dough and filling to make 7 more stuffed rotis.
