Potato Processing:

Merino has imported an entire line of automated plant from Europe for the manufacturing of dehydrated potato flakes. Going one step forward, Merino has now assimilated its facilities for the manufacturing of snack mixes. Entire concept and technology has been sourced from Netherlands, Europe.

Plant capacity: 600kg/hr

Vegit potato flakes are approved by FPO. The plant is certified by HACCP, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001

Potato Flake Process

At the entry point potatoes are fed into the bunker of storage. Form here on, the completely automated plant handles the rest of the functions like washing, peeling, slicing, blanching, cooling, mashing. During mashing various additives are added. Then the mashed potatoes are flaked and finally packed. Entire process is controlled through PLC on-line system, first time ever in India in this category.
